SCHOOL UNIFORM One way we engender school pride and identity is with the expectation that all students will wear a school uniform. Wearing school uniforms also serves to reduce a sense of competition amongst children. All children will wear the royal blue wide brimmed hat with the Sunbury State School emblem printed on it. Both boys and girls will wear black shoes (formal school uniform) or joggers (sports uniform) with white socks.
School Uniforms can be purchased at many local stockists such as Sauers Clothing Supplies(347 Kent St 41223990) , B&H Designs (136 Kent St 41221215), Workers Wardrobe (243 Adelaide St 41222605). Polo shirts are readily available from many department stores and supermarkets. Ø All T Shirts must have collars and sleeves. Ø Orders can be placed through the school office for the supply of material from the School Auxiliary ($8.00 per metre). Patterns for the school uniform are available from the office on a lending system for $2.50 with $2 refunded upon return of the pattern in good order. Ø If you purchase a collared T Shirt for the uniform which does not have the Sunbury logo, it can be screen-printed at the office for a cost of $1.00 per print. Simply deliver the named T Shirts and the money to the office. This service can take up to a week, depending on the time of year. Ø The school office has a range of second hand uniforms ranging in quality and price which have been provided by families within our school community. A second hand uniform sale is held in December each year. Uniforms can be sold through our school newsletter. |
